v A WARNING ABOUT FORECLOSURES AND THE COVID-19 CRISIS BELOW v
Be advised! Lenders may still foreclosure in California during the COVID-19 crisis. The order issued by Governor Newsome merely requests financial institutions to refrain from conducting non-judicial foreclosure. The order does prevent judicial foreclosures but that doesn’t help many people. Most foreclosures in California are non-judicial. If you've received notices from Attorneys, you likely have a non-judicial foreclosure. The order also prevents post foreclosure evictions but at that point, the damage has already been done.
The first step for any of our foreclosure clients is for us to reach out to your lender's attorney and obtain a written agreement to halt foreclosure.
